Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11th each year. It is an American holiday honoring military veterans. It's a day for teaching your children about the history of Veterans Day, research how soldiers were treated after they returned from war and more.
U.S. President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed an Armistice Day for November 11, 1919. The United States Congress passed a concurrent resolution seven years later on June 4, 1926. The original concept was for the suspension of business for a two minute period beginning at 11 A.M. There were also parades and public mettings along the day.
