National Police Week this year is celebrated on May 11-17, 2008.
In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as "Police Week". Every year a number of events are organized to honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice in law enforcement and public safety.
All in all it is one week during the year when law enforcement honors their fallen officers and makes the citizens of America aware that every 57 hours another law enforcement officer gives up his or her life for perfect strangers.
Promotional products from The Odee Company will help you raise awareness about the unselfish job these men and women do by risking their lives in order to protect all of us. Please contact us to organize your next promotional event on National Police Week.
