The first full week of every November we celebrate National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week! This is a great time to acknowledge the role animal shelters play in our community.
Animal shelters were created for housing homeless, lost and abandoned animals, mostly dogs and cats. The animal is usually kept until it is either reclaimed by its owner, or adopted by someone else.
